Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 3, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Vestigo (“Vestigo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the Vestigo website and application (the “Service”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. They allow a website to remember information about your visit, keep you signed in, maintain security, and remember certain preferences.
Similar technologies, such as local storage and server-side session storage, may be used for related purposes. Local storage is not a cookie, but we describe it here because it can store preferences on your device in a similar way.
2. Cookies Vestigo Uses
Necessary cookies
These cookies are required for the Service to work and cannot be disabled through our application controls. They may be used to:
- maintain authentication and secure user sessions;
- remember the workspace selected by a user;
- remember sidebar or interface state;
- protect accounts, prevent abuse, and maintain security; and
- support load balancing, routing, and reliable application delivery.
These cookies do not exist to deliver advertising.
Preference storage
Vestigo may use browser local storage or similar device storage to remember interface preferences, such as theme settings or locally generated display preferences. This information stays in your browser unless you clear it or the application removes it.
Third-party service cookies
When you follow a link to or use a third-party service, that service may set its own cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy. For example, Stripe may use cookies when you are redirected to Stripe-hosted billing or checkout pages, and Google may use cookies when you use Google OAuth to sign in. Vestigo does not control cookies set on third-party websites.
At this time, Vestigo does not intentionally use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, retargeting cookies, or social-media advertising cookies on the Service.
Analytics and session replay
With consent where required, Vestigo uses PostHog, a third-party product analytics service, to understand product usage, feature interactions, and navigation. PostHog session replay is enabled only after consent and is configured to mask text and inputs and block media. PostHog is not used for advertising or retargeting.
3. Session and Persistent Cookies
Session cookies are generally removed when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until you delete them. The duration of a cookie depends on its purpose and the service that sets it.
Authentication and workspace-selection cookies may remain available until they expire, you sign out, you change workspace settings, or you delete them from your browser.
4. How to Manage Cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. You can also clear local storage through your browser’s site-data or developer settings.
Disabling necessary cookies or local storage may prevent authentication, workspace selection, security features, or other parts of Vestigo from working correctly.
Because Vestigo currently uses necessary cookies rather than advertising cookies, disabling them may make the Service unavailable rather than simply limiting personalization.
For browser-specific instructions, consult the help documentation for your browser, such as:
5. Do Not Track and Privacy Signals
Browsers may offer “Do Not Track” or similar privacy signals. There is no single industry-wide standard for interpreting all such signals, so Vestigo does not currently use a separate Do Not Track setting. Since we do not currently use advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising cookies, there is no advertising-cookie preference to disable on Vestigo. You can decline analytics and session replay through the consent banner.
If our use of analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking technologies changes, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by applicable law.
6. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our technology, services, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date.
